Series Description
Series 2 contains 1,709 images depicting trolleys throughout Canada, Europe, and the United States from 1936 to 1975, predominantly showing transit services in California and Pennsylvania. Captions on the slide mounts identify the trolley line, car number, location and date. Please note that dates indicated with a question mark refer to series including Kodachrome duplicates; the end date may refer to the date that the slide was reproduced, and not necessarily the date the image was initially captured. Mordetsky produced some of the images, but collected others made by photographers whose names are noted on the slide. Samplings of slides for each group have been scanned and images linked to the Past Perfect database. This series is subdivided by medium type, distinguishing between slides and photographs. The slides are arranged alphabetically by country, state, and city. Each location grouping has been assigned a sub-sub-series number. The photos are arranged alphabetically by state, with foreign photos following the United States photos.
